I NEED A BABY DADDY!! haha at least for the next few months anyway..
for my Developmental Psychology class i get to raise my own “virtual child”. it’s well being at the end of the semester is like 40% of my grade. it basically gives you life scenarios and i guess you have to pick how you would handle that situation with your child and answer a few questions about how you’re going to raise him/her. then you get to watch it grow up until it’s 18.
haha so right now i’m just having fun creating what my child will look like. i’m very tempted NOT to pick the asian looking kid in the middle there and put something totally random. i haven’t actually submitted anything yet ‘cause i think my professor wants us to wait till next class, but this is just so cool! i’m excited. i just hope i don’t f*ck up this kid’s life toooo bad, but we’ll see =)

i’m ecstatic that SHU is thinking of providing newspapers on campus because i’ve missed being able to read one everyday. Usually i would just read the one copy they had in the lib as my news source, but even that would have some pages missing sometimes. i took a survey in the caf from the lady from The New York Times saying this school should definitely get involved in the newspaper business. yay for staying informed!
pretty good start to the semester so far. now i just gotta figure out what other electives i can take because after reading the syllabus for the Developmental Psychology i signed up for, there is no way in hell i’m doing that much work for just an elective. maybe i’ll take piano, brush up on those skills.

got home about 3 hours ago and i already want to jump in my car and drive back to AC, or anywhere else for that matter as long as its far away. i’ve just been sitting here in a weird funk, impatiently waiting to go to work, eating chocolate covered sunflower seeds and just missing the past couple of days. actually, this whole week has been pretty amazing. i think sitting alone in an empty house is not helping. you would think having the place to myself until tomorrow night would be great, but i hate sitting here by myself.. still, what a great way to end break!
oh and happy anniversary to my parents today too! 23 years and still going strong, true love does exist <3

having various “good luck”/ “you’ll do great” greetings from many different people at work make me feel like everything is going to be ok
i guess you can just see the stress on my face or hear it in my voice because everyone’s been asking why i look so sad and not my usual self. i tell them it’s finals week and of course they’re like “oh, i get it”. from good pep talks to “good luck” cups of coffee, and even a really awkward hug from one of the gym members, i’m glad i came into work this week.
encouragement from [somewhat] strangers is always a great feeling, especially when i’m having a hard time believing in myself that i can get everything done and done well to wrap this semester up.
1 down.. 3 (+1 lab report) to go. almost there, Katrina..
